  • In 2011, Nestle Singapore reduced energy and water usage at its Jurong Factory by 6.9% and 4.3% respectively
  • Nestle Singapore reduced greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 10.1% in 2011.
  • By 2011, there was a 2.5% increase in by-product recycle per tonnage of product.
  • In May 2011, Nestle embarked on a project to reduce packaging wastage from production of MILO 3in1 sachets. By July 2011, the project was successfully implemented and is projected to help prevent an estimated 1.4 tonnes of laminate losses annually.
  • In conjunction with Nanyang Polytechnic, Nestle launched an iPhone and Android phone application, 123Recycle, in June 2011. The application aims to educate consumers on recycling by allowing them to scan barcodes of Nestle products to find out how to recycle the products’ packaging.
